Resume Writing Workshop: Presented by PPG

About the Event

PPG (Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company) will be visiting Stanford on Tuesday, April 30th to conduct a resume writing workshop and one-on-one consultations with students in the Department of Chemistry. 

Representatives from PPG will be visiting campus to host an informational session on résumé writing, followed by individual résumé reviews. The session, targeting graduate students and postdocs, will focus on writing a résumé for industry positions and will answer the following: What should your résumé contain? How can you make your résumé stand out? How does a résumé differ from a CV? What are recruiters looking for? Students are also encouraged to sign up for individual résumé review sessions, in which they can get personalized feedback on how to tailor their résumé for success. Résumés in all stages of development are welcome!

Resume Writing Workshop
Chemistry Gazebo, 9:00am - 10:30 am

During this workshop, students will have the opportunity to learn how to craft a solid and effective resume or improve upon their existing resumes with tips and advice from experienced resume consultants. A light breakfast will be served and all are welcome at the workshop!

One-on-One Consultations
Mudd Building Rooms 317 and 239, 11:00am - 5:00 pm

Representatives from PPG will be conducting one-on-one consultations to give you personalized feedback on your resume and cover letters, help you better understand and navigate the interview process, and learn what qualities employers are looking for in candidates. Sign up for a consultation here using your first and last name. Timeslots are limited to two people per slot.
