Sanne Lim, Well-Being Coach, Stanford Graduate Life Office (GLO) will give a brief introduction on the event’s main question on “how to create a productive and wellness-centered lab culture?” focusing on Advisor-student relationship - work/Life culture - Supportive practices. We hope that as a community we can further explore this question through dialogue, active listening, and exchange of perspectives and experiences between faculty, students, postdocs, and staff.

The format of the event is as follows:
  • 10 min broad introduction on lab culture by Sanne Lim (GLO, Stanford)
  • 30 min open discussion in small groups (breakout rooms)
  • 10-15 min where groups share their main insights with everyone followed by open discussion

This event is open to everyone in our Department: faculty (current and future), graduate students, postdocs, and all staff (research, administration, etc).

A high participation and representation is instrumental in bringing out optimal and actionable ideas that can be beneficial to research groups in our department and chemistry research community.

ChemWell aims to be your inspiration to health and well-being.  Together, let us explore the intersections of mental, physical, financial, emotional and environmental well-being.
