For this week's ChemWell come and hear from 5 recent Stanford graduate students and postdocs who obtained faculty jobs this year. The panel will participate in a light-hearted discussion and Q&A of their experiences during the academic search process ranging from considerations of when to apply for faculty jobs to awkward interview moments! The panel will hosted by Tom Markland and consist of the following recent Stanford alumni:

Mikael Backlund, UIUC (Graduate Student Alum – Moerner Group)
Adam Jaffe, University of Notre Dame (Graduate Student Alum – Karunadasa Group)
Andrés Montoya-Castillo, University of Colorado Boulder (Postdoctoral Scholar – Markland Group)
Courtney Reichhardt, Washington University in St. Louis (Graduate Student Alum – Cegelski Group)
Helen Tran, University of Toronto (Postdoctoral Scholar – Bao Group)

Come and join us to hear about the ins and outs of the academic job search and how some of our recent graduate students' careers progressed to Professorships since leaving Stanford.

ChemWell aims to be your inspiration to health and well-being.  Together, let us explore the intersections of mental, physical, financial, emotional and environmental well-being.
