ChemWell's games night hosted by Tom Markland

THURSDAY, JULY 2

5:00-6:00 pm PST

Join us for ChemWell’s games night hosted by Tom Markland. Join in for a change of pace with an online Quiplash and Drawful game session with both standard and special Stanford Chemistry customized rounds.

Here’s how it works:

  • Join the Zoom meeting.

  • If you want to play or vote for the best quips or drawings all you need to do is to go to the web address jackbox.tv on any device that has an internet browser (phone, computer etc.). The room code to join our game will be shown in the Zoom meeting.

  • In Quiplash the objective is to give the most amusing answer for a given prompt (e.g. “Something you’d be surprised to see a donkey do”). There are no rules or correct answers. You just say whatever you want. Your answer will be pitted against another player’s answer in a head-to-head battle. Other players and the audience then vote on their favorite answer.

  • In Drawful the objective is for the players to draw the prompt that they are given and then for the audience to guess what it is.

  • Eight people can play at once and we will rotate players (although everyone is welcome just to watch or be part of the voting audience if you prefer). Even when you are not playing you   get to vote to determine which of the players wins each round.

  • Questions in Stanford Chemistry customized rounds have been tailored to the Stanford Chemistry Community. Come and see if you made it into one of the questions.

Join in for some levity and laughs. We hope you can participate.
