• Ph.D. & Postdoc Opportunity. PPG is seeking resumes of talented PhD Research and Development Professionals to work in one of core businesses at various R&D facilities located in the Pittsburgh, PA region. Successful candidates will be involved with planning, directing, coordinating, and conducting the experimental work necessary to meet project goals in developing new products for the marketplace or providing technical support for a commercialized product in a timely and cost-effective manner. In addition, the selected individuals will solve problems through the application of appropriate scientific, experimental, and statistical methods.  Incumbents may initiate and recommend major projects as well as conceive and develop theories through application of advanced specialized scientific knowledge. Candidates must be able to search and interpret literature as well as be cognizant of competitor technology and intellectual property. A proven ability to lead job specific aspects of multiple projects and project teams including directly supervising work of other associates is also necessary.
